Destiny 2 Base Information Triumph Guide – How to Beat this Challenge

Destiny 2 Base Information Triumph Guide – How to Beat this Challenge

Savathun is finally here, which means Destiny 2’s highly anticipated expansion has been released. The Witch Queen has players finally confront one of the franchise’s most popular villains in her own throne world. Not only is this DLC introducing a new story, but there are also a ton of new weapons, armor, exotics, consumables, and activities for players to participate in. The Witch Queen also marks the release of the Void 3.0 update, which drastically reworks the void subclass and new exotics to build around.

For those looking to nab the Disciple-Slayer title in Destiny 2, you will need to complete a lot of challenges in the new Vow of the Disciple raid. While some of these are as simple as beating every encounter on the same subclass, others will require more coordination and work. Along with the static challenge, this week marks the second weekly raid challenge which is tied to the Vow of the Disciple’s second encounter, The Caretaker. Called “Base Information,”

(Author’s Note: This guide is written under the assumption that you already know how the core encounter works. I will only be covering the challenge itself.)

How to Beat Base Information

To beat Base Information you are only allowed to have one person pick up a single glyph at a time in the symbol room. Meaning, when you open the doors into the glyph room and go inside, instead of grabbing three as you normally would you can only pick up one. Because of this, you will want three people assigned to running into the glyph room, two that are focused on stunning The Caretaker, and one that clears out enemies.

For the runners, once you run in and grab a symbol have an ally open the door so you can input your corresponding glyph into the obelisk. Here’s a quick breakdown of the order of operations for the glyph runners:

Runner 1 goes inside.
Runner 1 grabs a single glyph.
Runner 1 leaves the symbol room.
Runner 1 inputs their symbol into the obelisk.
Runner 2 goes in and repeats the steps above.
Runner 3 goes in and repeats the steps above.
Repeat this loop two more times until the damage phase triggers.

You will need to do this a total of nine times across the three runners for each phase. The job for The Caretaker stunners will not change, however, they will want to make sure to stun this boss as much as possible to give the runners time. As for the add clearer, they will want to equip a weapon like Witherhoard so they can easily deal with enemies when they spawn in groups. Try to stick to the side where The Caretaker is walking up to ensure your allies aren’t killed while stunning the boss. This person will also want to keep an eye out for the orange bar Scorn, as they will try to fill up the obelisk’s meter to wipe the party.

Once you complete a floor, simply go up to the next area and repeat the entire process over again. So long as you designate an order for your runners, this is a really easy challenge. Just make sure you are only picking up a single glyph, otherwise, this challenge will fail and you’ll need to start over. This can be a little tricky in the first room when all the glyphs are just packed right next to one another. It’s better to go just a little slower inside the symbol room to ensure you only snag one and don’t need to restart!
