Fortnite Equip the Backpack and Collect Fuel Cells Near Command Cavern Locations
As part of the Fortnite Resistance quests, you’re tasked to equip a specific backpack and collect fuel cells near Command Cavern. This quest is unlocked after you’ve completed the task to activate an emergency beacon at Tilted Towers or Coney Crossroads.
Let’s get into the steps. First, you need to establish a Device Uplink near Seven Outpost II or Seven Outpost V. I went for the latter, but either is going to work — that being said, keep in mind that you’re going to have to return to either of the outposts. As for the specific spot, I went to the one south of the location before the riverside.
From here, you have to equip the backpack. There are multiple spots, but if you’re in the same place as I was in the screenshots, then the backpack will appear right in front of you, leaning on the structure’s outer wall.
After you’ve interacted with the backpack, you’re going to get a second objective asking you to return the backpack at least half-full to Seven Outpost II or Seven Outpost V. This triggers an urgent quest in Fortnite, called “collect fuel cells to fill the charge pack” — at this point there are too many variations of this mission to keep track of, but in summary, head to Command Cavern and we’ll take it from there.
Now, as soon as you arrive at Command Cavern, you’re going to see a ton of spots. They’re fairly sparse, though, but I recommend heading over to the northeastern corner of Command Cavern, entering via the tunnel, and grabbing the fuel cells that are right there next to a few crates.
From here, you can use one of the ropes to swing upwards and look for a launchpad. Once in the air, head over to the Seven Outpost II and deliver the backpack.
That is all for the Fortnite equip the backpack and collect fuel cells near Command Cavern objective! It’s a fairly straightforward task, although it can prove troublesome considering the number of players that you’re likely to find around Command Cavern, so as always, keep your guard up and grab as many weapons as possible on your way towards the room.
