Here's a Claws of Ahamkara Build for Warlocks in Destiny 2

Every Warlock and their Ghost is running Sunbracers in Destiny 2 right now, and for good reason — it’s a completely busted build that lets you throw nearly-infinite Solar Grenades. But if you’re looking for something a little different, pull those Claws of Ahamkara that have been sitting at the back of your vault for the last couple of years.

This build comes from jame on Twitter, who suggests the following:

Claws of Ahamkara
Fragments: Torches, Blistering, Ashes, Searing
Mods: Explosive Wellmaker, Elemental Charge, Melee Wellmaker, Seeking Wells, Heavy Handed, Invigoration

The basic idea is simple: snap snap, baby. Getting a kill with a melee attack spawns an Elemental Well, which in addition to recharging your abilities will make you Charged With Light (x2, actually). Then Heavy Handed pops off, meaning that you recover a bunch of melee energy when you use a charged melee ability.

In itself, this is a pretty fun build to play around with, but I decided to tweak it a little. I dropped Explosive Wellmaker and threw on Powerful Friends. Since it’s an Arc Charged With Light mod, it synergizes with Heavy Handed, activating both of their secondary effects. That means that you get +20 Mobility as well as the Lock and Load bonus from Heavy Handed, which spawns reserve ammo when you get a kill with a Fusion Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, or Submachine Gun while surrounded by enemies. Oh, and your fireteam gets Charged With Light when you do, which is always a nice thing to do for your pals.

Lock and Load seems a little finicky, but since you’re going to be up close and personal with Incinerator Snap anyway, it pairs very well with shotguns like Lord of Wolves and fusion rifles. If you want to get really silly and you’re willing to run a non-Solar energy weapon — and you have a weapon with the right perks in your vault — then you can pair Lock and Load with a Subsistence/Reservoir Burst Glacioclasm to potentially fire Telesto-like detonating blasts forever without ever having to reload. Is it practical? Probably not. But it is a lot of fun, and Claws of Ahamkara have always been a great-looking Exotic armor piece.

Another alternative to Sunbracers, as Juan Malvaes points out, is Starfire Protocol with Touch of Flame, which makes Fusion Grenades explode twice. The problem is that Starfire Protocol looks very silly — maybe I’ll try it out if Bungie gives us an ornament for it.
