If you start need to unlock the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Glutton’s Gamble DLC, we’ve got good news! It’s not too hard at all. The second expansion to the Dungeons & Dragons fueled Borderlands story appears pretty early for both players new and old. You just need to know where to look! So let’s take a look ourselves at how to play Glutton’s Gamble in Tina Tiny’s Wonderlands.
Note that this DLC continues the loose “Mirrors of Mystery” plotline introduced via Coiled Captors. It’s basically a self-contained story on its own — focused on the witch Imelda — but does tie into the first expansion in terms of theme and starting location. Really, though, it’s basically a repeatable new endgame mission that provides extra chances at Legendary loot and a boss with shifting forms.
Unfortunately, the game is also extremely bad at explaining how to start any of its DLC. So, to save you some trouble wandering aimlessly around, here’s how to begin the new Gutton’s Gamble content in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands!
How to Start Glutton’s Gamble in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands
To start Glutton’s Gamble, you first need to reach the Overworld. This feature unlocks shortly after you complete the tutorial. If you already have a save from later in the game, just head back to the area where you initially begin your Wonderlands journey. We’re specifically looking for the part of the Overworld with green grass and the orange soda river.
Just past the glowing shrine of Mool Ah (which initiates the first possible Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands side quest) you will see a small village. The entrance should say “Dreamveil Overlook.” It won’t be marked on your map the first time, so go to where the images above and below indicate. Then interact with the entrance of the Dreamveil Overlook to enter.
Next, head into the spooky town below. The area is full of creepy ghosts and other oddities. Just ignore them for now. Instead, head up the small hill to your right and approach the horned, golden woman by the fleshy prize wheel. This is Vesper. She will start your Glutton’s Gamble quest and the rest of our “Mirrors of Mystery” content on top. Speaking to her will also introduce you to the Wheel of Fate and its accompanying currency: Lost Souls. You use these to power the machine.
After you spin the wheel for the first time, Vesper will speak to you once again. This completes her initial quest. At this point, you can turn right around — facing away from the wheel. There should be a large mirror near Vesper. In fact, there should be multiple mirrors if you bought other DLC like Coiled Captors or the Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Season Pass. The one we want, however, is covered in bug-like legs. It will also glow green and witch stirring a cauldron if you get close enough.
As a note for Season Pass buyers: you might need to download the Glutton’s Gamble DLC manually first! On PlayStation 5, for instance, the pass unlocks the DLC but does not install it by default.
Simply interact with this green mirror and accept the quest it offers. Though brand-new players should be warned that the enemies inside are tougher than you might expect! You can enter the expansion almost immediately after starting the game — around Level 3 or Level 4 — but your foes will be much tougher.
If this is your first time accepting a quest from the mirror, a cutscene will play before you’re dropped into the first official mission of the DLC. But after that, you can repeat this mission for more loot and to see different versions of the boss. There are four in total that change over time.
Congratulations! You now know how to unlock the Glutton’s Gamble DLC in Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.
