Mel Gibson Stars In New Trailer For Spy Thriller Agent Game

The new trailer for the spy thriller Agent Game sees Mel Gibson and Dermot Mulroney dealing with a black site interrogation gone horribly wrong.

Mel Gibson stars in the new trailer for the spy thriller Agent Game. Grant S. Johnson, who previously helmed smaller films, Frat Star and Nighthawks, directs Agent Game from a script by Tyler W. Konney and Mike Langer. Gibson shares the screen with fellow actors Jason Isaacs, Dermot Mulroney, Adan Canto, Katie Cassidy, Barkhad Abdi, and Annie Ilonzeh.

The action-packed trailer, shared on YouTube by Saban Films, highlights Agent Game’s tense plot. Mulroney’s Harris, a black site CIA interrogator, becomes the target of a rendition operation after being blamed for an interrogation that went terribly wrong. As the team tasked with bringing him in begins to question their orders, Gibson’s Olsen, a senior intelligence officer, turns up the heat, forcing Harris to discover the truth. Agent Game sees Gibson in his action movie comfort zone, with the trailer featuring plenty of explosions and gunplay set to satiate fans of the genre. The tensions between characters look to be heightened as allegiances are tested, making for what could be a twist-filled thriller. Agent Game also reunites Gibson and Isaacs, who previously starred together in Roland Emmerich’s Revolutionary War film, The Patriot. The bulk of the cast also has experience in the action genre, with Cassidy playing Black Canary on Arrow, Mulroney starring in the Hanna TV series, and Isaacs previously starring in Black Hawk Down. Agent Game is currently slated for release in theaters on April 8, when it will also be available digitally and on-demand.
