Stassi Schroeder Opens Up About Vanderpump Rules Firing In New Book

Former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder opens up about her firing from the show in her new book, admitting that she made huge mistakes.

Nearly two years after Stassi Schroeder was fired from Vanderpump Rules, she has addressed the story behind her dismissal in her new book, Off With My Head: The Definitive Basic Bitch Handbook to Surviving Rock Bottom. Stassi’s misery on Bravo began after a podcast clip resurfaced where she revealed that she and Kristen Doute told the police via a tip line that a Black woman accused of robbery could be their former co-star Faith Stowers. After the disturbing blunder, Stassi’s career hit many setbacks, including being dropped from her Bravo show in 2020.

Stassi’s mistake was certainly an expensive one, leading to a series of unfortunate losses. First, Bravo let her and Kristen go after eight seasons on the network’s reality series. Then, after Variety broke the news about Stassi’s PR team dropping her, she got a call from her agent that the agency would no longer be representing her. Next, Stassi’s podcast company scrubbed her show from iTunes. Also, she lost her animated series deal with Sony, and amid all of this, she was ten weeks pregnant with her daughter Hartford.

However, years after the podcast host and her Vanderpump Rules co-star Kristen were fired from the Bravo show, she revisited the tumultuous time in her new book, Off With My Head. According to Us Weekly, the Bravo alum began her side of the story by acknowledging that she made huge mistakes before being dismissed in June 2020. The TV personality admitted that she had no right to accuse Faith of committing a crime. She noted that she sensationalized the situation “for the sake of a good podcast story.” Stassi also acknowledged that just because it wasn’t about race for her doesn’t mean that it wasn’t about race for Faith.

However, the Next Level Basic author revealed that her actions were motivated by Jax Taylor cheating on Brittany Cartwright with Faith during season 6 of the renowned show. The Bravo alum noted that Faith’s actions deeply hurt her friend, and she “was absolutely motivated by that.” Stassi added, “I was motivated by the fact that I thought she was guilty of these crimes.” The author also wrote that she basically thought she was the karma God just dishing it out exactly where she felt it should be. Throughout the first chapter, Stassi documented the endorsement deals lost. She also claimed that the network was planning to use her wedding to Beau Clark as a launchpad for the show’s spinoff starring the other original cast members, but that also got canceled.

The Vanderpump Rules alum’s slip had her hitting rock bottom after a career that had already skyrocketed to a great peak of success. Stassi’s book further confirms that her struggles at the time were more than what fans saw play out on screen. With Stassi losing so many endorsements, one cannot help but wonder how she coped during this dreadful time. However, it is good that Stassi realized her mistakes and also took her time to acknowledge the situation even after a long stretch. Fans looking to get more insight into Stassi’s 2020 dilemma can grab a copy of her new book, which is now available.
