Following about a month of hints and teases from EA, it’s finally been revealed: The Sims 4 is getting a werewolves game pack.
Seriously, it’s far from a surprise. When the Little Campers Kit was announced, for example, you could see a sim transforming into a werewolf on a movie screen in the background. And all sorts of other not-that-cryptic hints about nighttime-themed DLC.
In this game pack (which normally run for around $20 USD), your sims can transform into werewolves, join a community of werewolf packs, and explore an additional world called Moonwood Mill that has its own secrets to uncover. Once your sim is a werwolf, they’ll have new abilities, temperaments, and emotions (fierce, playful, dramatic, cuddly, and more). You’ll also have to watch your fury so that doesn’t get out of hand.
The Sims 4 website also mentions new lore — you can learn about werewolves and where they came from, but also the origins of vampires and spellcasters too (vampires are playable in The Sims 4 Vampires and spellcasters are playable in Realm of Magic) as you read new books, navigate through underground tunnels, and meet your neighbors in Moonwood Mill. I’m very curious to see if there are some interactions between the Vampires pack and the Werewolves pack, considering those two creatures are usually sworn enemies.
As for changes to create-a-sim, yes, you’ll be able to make your own werewolf and customize them as you please. While you can make your sim an overgrown wolf, actual body hair for normal sims isn’t possible just yet. But according to a developer on Twitter, it’s coming to the base game soon. That’s a good thing, because let’s be honest, it’s always been kind of weird that Sims have default hairless bodies.
Hey Simmers, we are working on body hair that will be coming to the base game in a future update and we’ll share more when ready. https://t.co/ouFEtUzibt

Werewolves were first introduced in The Sims 2 Pets expansion pack, and have been one of the many magical creature staples in the series. So I for one am pretty excited to see everything it entails. Werewolves gape pack arrives on June 16 for PC, Mac, Xbox and PlayStation.
