Why Zach & Tori Moved To Battle Ground Washington

Zach and Tori Roloff of Little People Big World decided to leave their life in Oregon for a big adventure in a new state, but what caused the move?

Little People Big World followers were surprised to learn over the winter that Tori and Zach Roloff decided to move to Battle Ground, Washington. The couple had always lived near the family farm in Oregon, but it seemed like they may have worn out their welcome. With an exciting new journey before them, fans wonder what caused them to uproot their lives

Tori and Zach first met on Roloff Farm when they were teenagers, and she worked there on the weekends. The mother of three once shared that they both were too shy to start talking to one another but eventually, they built up the courage to introduce themselves. Tori joined Little People Big World back in 2013 during season 12 and instantly became a fan favorite. Now, after spending over ten years together, they are happily married and have three children. After years of trying to figure out what to do about the family farm, Zach and Tori made a huge decision that affected their whole family.

In October 2021, Zach and Tori shared a major life update with their fans as the couple revealed they had sold their home in Oregon and bought a new property almost an hour away in Battle Ground, Washington. Tori shared an Instagram post noting that while they would miss Portland greatly, it was time for a change. For years, Zach toyed with the idea of buying Roloff Farms, but it seems his father, Matt Roloff, was more interested in making a profit off his son. The Little People Big World season 23 premiere shared Zach telling cameras that he and his father were not on speaking terms, and in the end, he needed to make a decision for his family.

It isn’t hard to decipher what caused the tension between the father and son. Zach’s mother is upset she won’t be able to see her grandchildren as much, but even the matriarch understands Zach’s need to get away from Matt’s controlling personality. Battle Ground, Washington, is quite picturesque and could be the perfect move for Tori and Zach. Battle Ground has a great history and earned its name from an encounter in 1855 between Fort Vancouver and members of the Klickitat tribe.

After hearing about the move, Little People Big World fans were nervous that this meant the end of the road for Zach and Tori when it came to filming. However, Tori told her fans that as long as the process continues to be fun, they will keep filming. Viewers are looking forward to seeing their new home and the move to Washington on the current season.
